My passion for quilt making began in 1972 when I took my first quilt making class through a community education program. My mother wanted to attend the quilt making class but unable to, she asked me to take the class and teach her what I learned. Little did I know that I was about to embark on a three-decade quilt making journey.
Quilt making inspires my spirit, but the fun really begins when I share my love of quilt making through teaching. My professional certification in project management has taught me to offer clear instructions that are easy to understand.
My greatest reward, however, is sharing my grandmother’s orphan train rider story with audiences across the US and in my book, “They Named Me Marjorie, The brave journey of an orphan train rider.”
Quilt making sparks my creativity and sharing my grandmother’s heartwarming story lights my life. I'd like to share my love of quilts and the next segment of my quilt making journey with you. ----Ann
